Milk Makeup Balm Tint|Review with Swatches

Hi Guys,

Lately I’ve been really obsessed with lip balms and lip oils.  Any time a brand comes out with one, I need to give it a try.

I saw these ones from Milk Makeup and I had to get a few!  I adore their packaging, and love the colours of the two I picked up.  I also really love that these have SPF 30 in them and include ingredients such as shea butter, coconut, avocado and sunflower seed oils.  Those four ingredients scream HYDRATION to me!!!  And that’s exactly what I’ve been craving.

These are described as a lip balm with the shine of a gloss and the softness and protection of a balm.  Right now they currently have four colours.  A light pink, a nude-mauve, an orange, and a red.  I picked up the pink & the nude-mauve shades.

So far I really like these tinted balms!  They melt on the lips just as described, but keep in mind to be careful when applying them… do not twist up too much product because it will not twist back down.  And when you apply them, be ever so gentle as the product melts fast and squishes down and can get quite messy (I included a photo below so you can see how the product melts once you use it).  I find that they feel better on the lips when your exfolliate first, and I definitely prefer them when I only use a small amount.  I dont like the feeling when I apply too much.

There is a very light scent when you apply them, but it disappears almost instantly.  The colour is a very light wash of colour, just like most tinted balms.  And the hydration feels so good on the lips.  Overall, I am very happy with my purchase!!

Hope you liked this review!!  Please let me know what your favourite balm / lip oils are!!

XO Cassandra
