I am not a cream contour / cream bronzer type of girl. I’ve never been good with applying cream anything. But I was happy when I received a deluxe sample of Benefits new Quickie Contour Stick! I immediately swatched it on my arm, and I couldnt believe how easy it was to blend out, and how gorgeous the colour was on my medium / tanned skin tone. I couldnt wait to try it on my face!!
I have always been intimidated by cream products. Lets be honest, I still am!!! But not this one! This is the first cream product I feel completely confident in using, and I can apply it as easy as a powder. I was surprised that it actually looks good, natural and seamlessly blended in, every single time!
I cant stress enough just how easy this contour stick is to apply and blend out!!! It seems light when first blended out, but when you step back and look at yourself it creates such a beautiful natural bronzed glow and it can be built up quite a bit without looking overly done. I also know that this contour stick works on many different skin tones from light – very tanned. I definitely love how universally flattering it is.
This is how I use this contour stick:
I apply my foundation with my damp Real Techniques sponge, then I bronze up my face with the contour stick like I would with a powder bronzer. Forehead, cheeks, and under the jaw line. I use two-four swipes per section. Then I use the same damp beauty sponge and blend it all out. Then I set it with powder bronzer to keep everything in tact. I don’t think it needs to be set with a powder bronzer as it is a cream-to-powder formula, but I can get quite oily so I typically set everything. I will try it without setting it next time though to see how it wears on my skin.
I love this contour stick so much that I will definitely be picking up the full size as soon as I run out of this deluxe sample.
Also on my wishlist is Dew The Hoola Liquid Bronzer!! Are either of these on your wishlist??
