Hi Guys,

If you have been following my blog for a while now then you have seen me post about Beautylish Lucky Bags. These Lucky Bags are available December 26, and they are shipped out in January. Trust me when I say that these are SO worth it and they sell out extremely fast!

The Lucky Bags consist of a mystery of full sized products, plus extra surprises if you are extra lucky (some bags contain Gift Cards to Beautylish!!). The Original Lucky Bag is $75 usd for $150+ worth of products. They also have the Lucky Bag XL that is $150 usd for $350+ worth of products, but this bag is only available to those in the US. They now also have the Jeffree Star Lucky Bag that is $75 usd for $150+ worth of Jeffree Star products.

Something that is very special about these Lucky Bags is the paper / meaning of the yearly boxes. It changes every year, and I have kept every single paper and card because they are just so pretty.

Inspired by the Japanese tradition of fukubukuro: Fukubukuro (“lucky bag”) is a Japanese New Year custom in which merchants make grab bags filled with unknown random contents and sell them for a substantial discount, usually 50% or more off the list price of the items contained within.

This is what I received in my 2019 Lucky Bag:

  1. Viseart: Golden Hour Eye Shadow Palette – $49 usd value
  2. Hourglass: Veil Mineral Primer 30 ml – $54 usd value
  3. Wayne Goss: Brush 20 Eyeshadow Smudging Brush – $22 usd value
  4. Jouer Cosmetics: Long-Wear Lip Crème Rosé – $18 usd value
  5. Good Molecules: Wake Up Eye Serum – $8 usd value
  6. Kevyn Aucoin: The Curling Mascara – $28 usd value

I spent $75 usd and received $179 usd worth of product!! I was so happy with what I got and the value that I received and I honestly cannot wait to see what I get in 2020!!

The only duplicate that I received was the Hourglass Primer, and I was SO happy to get this in my bag as I LOVE this primer, and I recently finished my bottle!

I find that they always include luxe brands, popular brands, and often new releases. If you are a beauty junkie and always purchase ALL the new releases, then these boxes probably wouldnt be a smart purchase for you as you will Most likely receive duplicates. If you are someone who does not purchase new makeup all the time, then this is the right box for you! I have traded in the past with a friend on Instagram, so I am not really worried about receiving duplicates, so that’s an option out there to help justify the possibility of receiving something that you do not want or will not use.

In all three of my boxes I have received Wayne Goss Brushes. I am a HUGE fan of Wayne Goss, and the quality of his brushes. I am praying that in my next box I receive one of his new face brushes (hint hint Beautylish!!!)

I really like that you get to choose your skin tone now… They offer Fair-Medium or Dark-Deep, obviously this wont always work for everyone, but I am medium skin toned and every product has worked really well for me.

With this bag, I was a few minutes too late, and it sold out, so I kept refreshing, and stalking the website, and it became available again. If this happens to you, do not give up, just keep checking!

So far all three of my Lucky Bag’s have been of incredible value! I will absolutely be purchasing the next one and I am already starting my countdown to December 26 when I can make this purchase! It’s honestly my favourite purchase of the year!!!
